Lucas Berry
Lucas Berry is a guitarist and multi-instrumentalist based in Atlanta, known for his work across jazz, soul, and Brazilian music. Born and raised in Michigan, he began studying music in childhood and developed early experience performing in jazz ensembles, combos, and statewide honors groups. During high school, he led the Jackson High School Jazz Combo and performed as part of the Michigan All-State and MSBOA Honors Jazz Ensembles.
Lucas continued performing throughout his undergraduate years at Boston University, where he played in advanced jazz combos, pep band, and student-run jam sessions. After graduating, he remained active in Boston’s music scene before relocating to Atlanta to expand his performing and teaching career.

In Atlanta, Lucas performs regularly as a guitarist in a wide range of settings, including jazz groups, Brazilian choro ensembles, fusion quartets, and private event duos. His collaborations include working closely with artists such as Melisa Karan, Michelle Eufrasio, Jordi Lara, Sombra Suave, Hoolie Armando, and Andrés Guerrero. He has performed at venues such as Buteco, Sidetracked Winery, Southern Feed Store, and Fogo de Chão, and has contributed as a recording guitarist, producer, and composer on multiple singles, EPs, and short films.
As an educator, Lucas teaches guitar, bass, ukulele, and piano to students of all ages. His teaching style blends formal musicianship, ear-training, improvisation, and creative exploration, helping students build both technical skills and personal musical identity. He brings over fifteen years of playing experience, a strong background in jazz and contemporary styles, and a commitment to helping each student find joy and confidence in music.
