Tutku Fisher
Her love for music began at home. Her mother, who is also a music teacher, was her first music teacher and the person who first recognized her natural connection to music. When she was just two years old, her mother heard her humming Brahms’ Lullaby in her sleep and realized that she had a special musical ability. From that moment on, her mother encouraged and guided her toward music, becoming the person who first opened the door to her musical journey.
At an early age, she became a member of the Istanbul State Symphony Orchestra Children’s Choir under the direction of Gökçen Koray. During her time with the choir, she had the opportunity to perform in renowned productions including Carmen (2007–2009), Carmina Burana (2007, conducted by Alexander Rahbari), and La Bohème (2009–2011). These experiences introduced her to the world of professional performance and became an important foundation for her artistic development.
She later graduated from Avni Akyol Fine Arts High School in Istanbul, specializing in Flute and piano Performance. During her high school years, she also studied flute in the part time program at the Istanbul University State Conservatory, continuing her musical education alongside her formal studies.
She has been teaching since her high school years and has worked with students of different ages and backgrounds. While she has also taught ballet, music has always been at the heart of her teaching, particularly piano and flute.
Today, she is excited to share the same joy and sense of discovery that first brought music into her own life with her students. She believes that learning an instrument should be a positive and enjoyable experience, and she strives to create a supportive environment where students can learn at their own pace, build confidence, and develop a genuine love for music. She offers piano and flute instruction in both English and Turkish, making lessons accessible and comfortable for Turkish speaking students as well. Whether working with a young beginner or an adult who has always wanted to learn an instrument, she enjoys helping each student discover their own musical potential.
